Emmanuel Siffert<\/strong><\/p>\n

Emmanuel Siffert, conductor Swiss conductor Emmanuel Siffert is at the moment Principal Conductor and Artistic Director at the Chile Chamber Orchestra in Santiago (Beethoven 7 formation).<\/p>\n

He has been Principal Conductor of the San Juan Symphony Orchestra in Argentina, Aguascalientes Symphony Orchestra in Mexico , European Chamber Opera, London; Swiss Chamber Orchestra, Aosta Symphony Orchestra, Italy and the National Symphony Orchestra of Ecuador.<\/p>\n

As a Ballet-Conductor, he worked with the English National Ballet, Royal Ballet Covent Garden, Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires, among others.<\/p>\n

Other orchestras which Emmanuel has conducted include the Philharmonia Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic, China National Symphony Orchestra, Welsh National Opera, London Mozart Players, Rundfunksinfonieorchester Saarbr\u00fccken, Bucharest Philharmonic \u201cGeorge Enesco\u201d Mexico City Philharmonic, Johannesburg Philharmonic, Armenian Philharmonic, Plzen Operahouse Orchestra, Gran Canaria Philharmonic, Spain; Slowenische Philharmonie, Volgograd Philharmonic, Wiener Mozart Orchester, Symphonieorchester St. Gallen, Lutoslawski Philharmonie, Wroclaw; Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, Lugano; Berner Symphonieprchester, Rubinstein Philharmony, Lodz; Mozarteumorchester Salzburg, Sud-westdeutsche Philharmonie Konstanz, Bulgarian Symphony, Aguascalientes Symphony, Michoac\u00e1n Symphony and Jalapa Symphony in Mexico ; Peru National Symphony Orchestra, Venezuela Symphony Orchestra, Montevideo Philharmonic, Uruguay ; Cairo Symphony Orchestra.<\/p>\n

Emmanuel has a wide discography; has released several recordings with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Volgograd Philharmonic Orchestra, Swiss Chamber Orchestra, and Aosta Symphony. His radio recordings include Rundfunksinfonieorchester Saarbr\u00fccken (live), Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana (live and studio recordings) and the Swiss Chamber Orchestra (live).<\/p>\n

Emmanuel Siffert was assistant conductor at the St. Gallen Opera under John Neschling until 1997; in 1995 he acted in this capacity at the Opera Festival Avenches; in 1998 at the Grand Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de Gen\u00e8ve under Armin Jordan ; in 2001 at the Teatro Lirico Di Cagliari under Rafael Fr\u00fcbeck de Burgos; and in 2001-2002 under Gerard Korsten. He was also assistant for \u201cThe Merry Widow\u201d at the Lyon Opera house. Further opera work included work with \u201cOpera Valle\u201d in Italy since 2002, as well as the Nuremberg Opera, the Moldavian Opera in Chisinau, Opera Peru in Lima, Opera San Juan in Argentina.<\/p>\n

He conducted two seasons for the English National Ballet (2003\/4 and 2004\/5). He also started working from 2011 with the Royal Ballet Covent Garden.<\/p>\n

A number of special projects Emmanuel is involved in include rare Italian symphonies from the 18th century (edition of orchestral parts), and the recording and edition of scores of orchestral works by Swiss composers in collaboration with the record label VDE-GALLO and CLAVES and the music-department of the University in Lausanne.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, he is also involved as a teacher of conducting (incl. Royal College of Music in London and the China Conservatory of Music in Beijing) and gives classes in opera scenes for singers in various summer academies, as well as regular Professor at the Institut of the Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires.<\/p>\n

He was Music Director of the \u201cSaturday Academy\u201d of the Wales International Academy of Voice. He is the creator of the Online Conducting Method www.approachtoconducting.com<\/a><\/p>\n

Emmanuel won the conducting prize at the \u201cSchweizerischen Tonk\u00fcnstlenverein\u201d in 1993 and again in 1995. He studied conducting under Horst Stein, Ralf Weikert, Joma Panula and Carlo Maria Giulini. Studied violin in Salzburg under Prof. Sandor V\u00e9gh and performed as a violinist with the Camerata Academia Salzburg from 1989 to 1994.<\/p>\n
