Received an engineering degree from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (1971). Began his professional singing career (1973).<\/p>\n<p>Performed numerous shows in Switzerland, France, Belgium, and Quebec (1973 to 1982). Released his first single &#8220;Quatre et quart&#8221; (1973). Released his first album &#8220;Les mots trahissent&#8221;, arranged by L\u00e9on Francioli (1974). Second album &#8220;Pierre Chastellain&#8221;, arranged by Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Bovard (1976). Recorded a single, &#8220;Dans les jardins du monde&#8221;, for Terre des Hommes (1977).<\/p>\n<p>Represented Switzerland at the Spa Festival (Belgium, 1977). Represented Switzerland with Zouc and Michel B\u00fchler at the Tabarka Festival (Tunisia, 1977). Performed with Yvette Th\u00e9raulaz at the Petit Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de l&#8217;Od\u00e9on in Paris (1978).<\/p>\n<p>Third album &#8220;Partage&#8221;, arranged by Jean-Yves Petiot (early 1978). Fourth album &#8220;Ellenberger-Thuillard&#8221;, arranged by Jacques Walmond (late 1978).<\/p>\n<p>Objected and was imprisoned at the Plaine de l&#8217;Orbe Penitentiary (1978). In collaboration with Anne-Catherine M\u00e9n\u00e9trey and the Martin Luther King Center, wrote a book titled &#8220;OBJECTION VOTRE HONNEUR !&#8230; ou le proc\u00e8s Chastellain et l&#8217;objection de conscience en Suisse&#8221;, published by \u00c9ditions d&#8217;En Bas (1979).<\/p>\n<p>Represented Switzerland at the Quebec Summer Festival (1979). From 1973 to 1982, opened for Henri Tachan, Carlos, Pierre Perret, Juliette Gr\u00e9co &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Resumed his career as a transportation engineer (1983). Simultaneously worked on promoting major shows in the media.
