The Fanfare du Jorat was founded on September 15, 1896, with the aim of cultivating and developing instrumental music and contributing to the enjoyment of the Jorat region.

It is currently still in this same spirit that around 30 musicians have the pleasure of practicing brass music. The ensemble regularly participates in various regional or cantonal competitions.

Its music school provides instrumental training (brass and percussion) to about ten students from the region. This training is provided by professional teachers.

The Jorat Brass Band is financially supported by the municipalities and villages of the region (Mézières, Carrouge, Vulliens, Ferlens, Servion, Montpreveyres, Corcelles-le-Jorat, Ropraz, and Vucherens), by our friends, and by numerous societies mainly from the region.
