Annick Massis, Soprano

After having studied music in Paris, Annick Massis appeared for the first time on stage at the Capitole in Toulouse in 1991. She attracted a lot of attention in the title role of La Finta Giardinera, so she decided to give preference to Mozart – the Mass in C, the Exultate Jubilate, the Requiem, Die Entführung aus dem Serail, and Le Nozze di Figaro for her debut at the Opera of Paris Bastille. At the same time, Annick Massis decided to improve her knowledge of the French repertoire and has been a great success in some of the most outstanding roles: Leila in the Pearl Fishers by Bizet, Philine in Mignon by Ambroise Thomas… She has also attracted a lot of attention with her interpretation of many of the great roles in the bel canto repertoire and has taken part in many concerts with orchestras such as the Ensemble Orchestral of Paris, the National Orchestra of the Capitole of Toulouse, the National Orchestra of France, and the Ensemble Intercontemporain… She has also appeared in recitals at the Chatelet, at La Scala in Milan, and at the Villa Medici in Rome, and taken part in several recordings
