Her performance and the quality of her interpretation were such that she was awarded the “Prix du Public” and it was decided to produce this album, alongside that of the first prize winner, Richard Goode, who magnificently performed the Concertos No. 18 and No. 20 of Mozart with the Chamber Orchestra of the Vienna Symphonic, conducted by René Klopfenstein.

For fourteen years, Mitsuko Uchida and Richard Goode co-directed the Marlboro Music School and Festival. To this day, she continues to lead the institution with Jonathan Biss.
