Musique des Lumières
Founded in 2004, Musique des Lumières has become a major cultural player in Switzerland.
Artistic director is Argentine-born conductor Facundo Agudin. Based in the Jura region, MdL works with numerous institutions in French- and German-speaking Switzerland, from Geneva to Basel. Its CD recordings include Viktor Ullmann’s Der Kaiser von Atlantis. Today, Musique des Lumières is delighted to welcome Maxime Point.

Duo singer & fischer
Back in their student days, André Fischer and Sébastien Singer formed a guitar and cello duo. Fascinated by chamber music, they decided to devote themselves to the original repertoire for their unusual group, supporting it with transcriptions including Schubert’s famous Sonata for arpeggione, Piazzolla’s Histoire du Tango for flute and guitar, Bach’s sonatas for viola da gamba and obbligato keyboard, and Falla’s L’Amour sorcier suite. An ensemble whose longevity is unusual enough to merit a mention, the singer & fischer duo owe their flawless understanding at least as much to the hours they spend rebuilding the world as to those they devote to the constant search for balance between two a priori antagonistic instruments. Internationally acclaimed for their virtuosity in serving the music, and their formidable precision in ensemble playing, they are now among the finest duos of their kind.
