Almendra Quartet. Created in 2021 during the pandemic period by three members of the Symphonic Orchestra of the UNSJ and its then conductor, the Almendra Quartet arose as a need to perform chamber music in person. Since its creation, it has performed in concerts and chamber music festivals. At present the place of the violinist (Maestro Emmanuel Siffert)
is occupied by Professor Indira Gonzalez Oliva – concertmaster of the Symphonic Orchestra of the UNSJ.

Ada Hidalgo, flutist, graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy, Humanities and Arts of the National University of San Juan. Soloist of the Symphony Orchestra and teacher of the Department of Music of San Juan.

Raina Diankova, violist, graduated from the National Academy of Music «Pancho Vladigerov» – Sofia, Bulgaria, member of the Symphonic Orchestra and teacher of the Department of Music of the UNSJ.

Vesselin Yanakiev, cellist, graduated from the National Music Academy «Pancho Vladigerov»-Sofia, Bulgaria. Alternate soloist of the cello row of the Symphony Orchestra and teacher of the Department of Music of the UNSJ.

Emmanuel Siffert, violin. Swiss conductor Emmanuel Siffert is currently Chief Conductor of the Chilean Chamber Orchestra, having previously been Chief Conductor of the San Juan Symphony Orchestra in Argentina, of the National Symphony Orchestra of Ecuador, of the European Chamber Opera – London, of the Aguascalientes (Mexico) and Aosta (Italy) Symphony Orchestras and of the Swiss Chamber Orchestra.
