Biography

Trained as a pianist, Viva Sanchez Reinoso has developed a multifaceted artistic practice combining performance, improvisation, teaching and research. Driven by a deep love for the music of Johann Sebastian Bach, she is equally passionate about contemporary creation, sound experimentation and the exploration of different artistic approaches.

Her career has taken her to numerous stages across Europe and the Americas, continually renewing her artistic curiosity. Having studied in Geneva, La Chaux-de-Fonds, Hanover and Neuchâtel, she holds several master’s degrees in performance, pedagogy and music theory.

Actively involved in Geneva’s cultural life, she supports local artistic creation through numerous multidisciplinary collaborations and has co-founded several organisations, including Ensemble Batida and Association Amalthea.

Alongside her artistic work, she maintains an active teaching practice at the Valais Cantonal Conservatory, where she guides students and young professionals with high standards, attentiveness and enthusiasm.
